This is the main tab for the Techware program. This is where you decide how the Techware program functions. These options are very important. For best results I recommend setting Techware up to Restart the computer before maintenance and either Restarting or Shutting down the computer after maintenance.
These are the options of how the maintenance is performed.
Language: As of right now the official language of the program is "English". But in the future the program will support many languages. There is some "French" language as well... But it does not fully support the French language yet... Stay Tuned for the day we go worldwide!
Launch Options: You can choose wether or not to Restart the computer before maintenance (Recommended). You can also choose to start maintenance in safemode. Then choose what you wish Techware to do when it is finished. Nothing, See Logs, Restart, Shut Down, or Log Off.
This tab is where you would select any AntiSpyware programs and/or programs that you would want running during the first part of maintenance. You will notice color coding to show you if the program is auto download/installable or not, or if it is currently found installed on the system already. Green means the program is auto download/installable, yellow means it is not and white means it is already installed. New programs are added to Techware all the time. So if your favorite program is not in here... then be sure to request it! :)
This tab is where you would select any AntiVirus programs and/or programs that you would want running during the second part of maintenance. You will notice color coding to show you if the program is auto download/installable or not, or if it is currently found installed on the system already. Green means the program is auto download/installable, yellow means it is not and white means it is already installed. Many Antivirus programs have been set to yellow since it is not recommended to have more than one antivirus installed on your system at one time. New programs are added to Techware all the time. So if your favorite program is not in here... then be sure to request it! :)
This tab is where you would select any Utilities that you would want running during the third part of maintenance. :)
On the Updates tab you will have the option to set Windows Updates up during maintenance. You will be able to select what type of updates you would like installed. Critical, Recommended or All Updates. You will also be able to select other programs you wish to have updated during maintenance as well.
The Scheduler Tab is where you select when you want automated maintenance to run. Once a day, week, or month. You input the administrative account that you want maintenance to be performed in and enable the scheduler. It doesn't get much easier then that! ;-)
